Heaven Below

Heaven Below is the heartwarming adventure of Sean O’Connell, a Pottsville coal miner who longs to live by the sea. On his way to the water, Sean’s journey is delayed for six years by a pair of brown eyes. A turn of event, the tragic loss of his wife and son makes Sean question the existence of God and he considers taking his own life. The loss of his job at the mines during the Depression only worsens his plight. Hungry and desperate, he is forced to put on a dress to take a job as a waitress to feed his child. He falls in love with a waitress but she cannot return his love because he is, after all, another woman. A murder and an envelope in the dead man’s pants change Sean’s luck and life forever—but at a price. Sean finds himself in a strange town with no job, no home and looking over his shoulder for the man who wants to kill him. Along the way he is blessed with kindness from strangers. But to find happiness, Sean must first follow his conscience before he can follow his dreams.
