Help, there is a Communist running for President!!!!: An immigrant's perspective on the slow death of the Greatest Nation in the World

“Democracy”; everyone claims to understand what it stands for. And yet, through the eyes of an immigrant, there appears to be a lack of understanding among Americans that is ground for major concern. As an outsider, living on the inside, it is obvious that many Americans don't understand the impact they personally have on the long term future of this nation. Every vote and action has several areas of impact. Physically, mentally, emotionally as well as on a spiritual level each and every one of us create nationwide patterns, influencing the path this country will follow. "Help, there is a Communist running for President" is for anyone wondering where this country is going, and how they can influence the outcome.

Why did this "immigrant" come to "this great country" in the first place?
Seems like to educate himself with seminar platitudes and quickly become a millionair with all his financial and political "visions", and than bite the hand that feeds him.
I wonder how "Albert Bakker" is doing after the financial crash of Sept.'08.
Presume... not touched at all because he thinks and talks "like the rich".

More American-born bashing so common and accepted nowadays. This "immigrant" berates Americans for not "knowing what they have," and says other people so easily become millionaires here. Wonder why? A friend and I read it, jaws on the floor. The policies in place that make generational American lives (especially for Southerners so propagandized against in films, radio, media) nearly impossible aren't even examined. Ignorance like this is quite something. Many Americans, here for many years, have been pushed into tent cities. Once fleeced, that money is used for much that helps others become rich. Newest immigrants are given very much. We have tax-paid "welcoming centers" near me, tax-paid language classes, tax-paid/high-wage jobs. Um... any fool could get rich. He's right about that, lol. Really Offensive. Totally uninformed about the American situation. But that's what makes him useful, quite possibly.

4Yes, you will be offended.... deal with it!!  Apr 23, 2010

I am normally not much for writing reviews, but I thought this book worthy of a little of my time. Especially since I disagree completely with the previous two reviews. What these reviewers overlooked is the fact that the author warned them about their opinion on his book. He states that "the book will most likely offend you, because the truth is often offensive". He then asks the reader for an honest evaluation of him or her self. I have to say the book offended me initially, but I took the time to take a hard look at myself. I consider myself a patriotic American, but after reading the book, I realized I had some shaping up to do. The book was an eye opener for my level of personal responsibility in where America is going.
I took the book for a test, and had just over twenty friends read it. The outcome was interesting. Those friends that I considered to have a low desire for personal responsibility (they have credit card debt, blame the government rather than themselves, generally eat unhealthy, live above their means....), all returned the book to me criticizing it, and calling the author an idiot. Most of them didn't even read the book completely. While those friends whom I consider to have higher levels of personal responsibility (live debt free, live within their means, look at how they personally can make a positive impact on their communities, generally eat and are healthy....), had nothing but positive to say.
However, it is for that matter that I give the book four stars only. Because that is the weakness of the book. The book is clearly written to make people aware of their personal responsibilities, and how that impacts the future of America. But those who need the book the most will most likely feel offended and rate it poorly. More often than not because of their personal issues being exposed by the way the book is written. And people who tend to forsake their personal responsibilities will not like to face that fact. Because the book itself is factually correct. Even on the historical facts on the trends that have brought other great nations down. And anyone who takes the responsibility to do his or her homework will agree on that, and agree that America is on track as well.
I only hope that those reading this book and rating it low, will remember what they read in twenty or thirty years from now. By then this country will be heading where the author tells us it will go. But the critics probably won't, because that would mean admitting their ignorance. (And as the author stated "If ignorance is bliss, then why aren't more people happy?").
I don't feel the author is an immigrant who is bashing Americans. I think the author is more patriotic than most of us, and he would hate to see this country go down the drain. And reading his writings, I feel that his level of responsibility for this country is such, that many Americans can learn a lesson from him.
Just a recommendation: If you cannot handle having your personal issues as an American exposed, this book is not for you. Otherwise, read it.
