I really enjoyed reading "Hey, Are You Listening." Rebecca writes with a light heart about something that can truly change your life -- listening. The art of listening is so often overlooked, but Rebecca gives easy to understand steps and examples to become better in this area. Something so simple can make such a big difference! Highly recommended.
A special little helper for everyone... Nov 17, 2010
By Elizabeth A. Fowler This book is a special friend to someone like me that works with clients on a very personal level. It also makes every relationship in my life more positive with day to day communication.

This book was such a great book in getting me to recognize the importance of listening and how to REALLY listen. It discusses paraphrasing and eye contact as key components. It demonstrates how listening is a very misunderstood activity... if you think you are a good listener... there is a good chance you could be much better, and this book shows you how!
This book is a treasure Oct 21, 2009
By Donald J. Simon This concise book is an easy read and one that I will refer to often, for business and personal reasons. If you want to be more respected and influential with others, this book will give you great help. We speak at about 125 words per minute but can listen to and comprehend about 400 words per minute, so our minds naturally wander off, often at a bigger (sometimes HUGE) price than we can imagine. The 8 barriers to listening she enumerates and offers ideas to help us with are crucial; I will use these as a checklist before and after important discussions. She also offers wonderful ideas about how to ask intelligent questions instead of offering advice, a concept that all men, including me can especially benefit from. Us men want to offer quick fixes. It's way more helpful to the other person to engage them by asking great questions instead of just making statements that may or may not be appropriate for them.
