Great Series Apr 29, 2009
By A. Lee I am really surprise at how much I enjoy this series. I am a huge PNR fan and wasn't sure how I would react to the main couple being a threesome. Amazingly, I find it different and refreshing. I also love the fact we see some many different types of relationships in this series. Hetero, homo, bi, everything and it is done with class and humor. The sex scenes are always very steamy and realistic. I can honestly say I do not know which couple or character is my favorite. They are all so interesting and complex and it only get better with each book.
My main problem with this book is that is starting to fall into typical PNR trap. Repetition. Darian and Xavier are always asking Tasha if she sure or ok with the decisions she is making. I mean how many times do you have to ask someone the same question every time they make a decision? Also, they are always surprised by her. Really? I mean she told you she wanted to have a baby soon so why are you surprised when she tells you she is ready to have a baby? I mean you knew this was coming. Also, they are starting to say "I love you" way too much. Yes we know they love each other but do they have to say it every other sentence now? And this is not just the main couple but every couple!!
Also, the author deserves a better editor and at times that takes away from the story, but the characters and plot more than make up for it.
If you like vampires and shape shifters, can handle gay and bisexual relationships, and love good character interaction get this book! If you hate bad editing and want a huge amount of sex scenes then stay away. Some books in the series, particularly this one, do not have that many sex scenes while other have one every few chapters.
