Dear Margaret!
I'm so glad to see that the book is finally published!!!! Congratulations!!!!!The photo on the cover
is so beautiful. I hope that the Croatian version will be published too, someday I learned so much more from it than
from dozens of other histoy books I read during my education. People can learn and really feel the history from
intimate histories like yours . I hope the others will have the chance to read it too....
I hope that we will meet someday...
Best regards to you and your family,
Ivana

Beautiful book, heartwarming and historically very important Aug 18, 2010
By Sylvia This is a book you will not put down once you start reading. It's beautiful and very sad at the times. Very important book in historical sense as there is too little information penned on this subject so cruical to the TRUE history of Croatian people's suffering in the WWII. This true history was forbidden to the generations of Croatians after the communist take-over of Yugoslavia following the WWII. Thank you Ms. Siegrist-Grahovac for writing this great book. The book has been translated into Croatian and is available through HIC.hr.

How Far Away is Never Nov 09, 2009
By Mary Ann Wilcox Dearest Aunt Margaret,
Congrads to you on finally getting this book published. I know it was a long and difficult journey to get here. In reading this book, it made me appreciate my family and what they went through in those horrible times. You put to word what was not discussed because it was and still is so painful. Yet, the story has to come out so that our children and their children know their history. You are a very brave person for re-telling your story. I believe this book is very powerful and many people will be moved by reading it as I was.
Mary Ann
