4cute book!  Mar 22, 2007

Very cute, funny book with some great (make a list of all his annoying qualities--you don't want to date this guy again; have your best friend tell you what she REALLY thinks, have a post break-up wake, buy a vibrator) and not-so-great (have revenge sex with his best friend, write his mom a letter and tell her you're sorry that he's such a jerk, walk by a construction site) ideas. Very funny overall!

3New book suggestion  May 19, 2009
By Candy Williams "Candace"
How about a book, "How to Get Over a Friend in Ten Days"? In this age of technology, it has become relatively easy to "move on"; personally I think that's a shame. There are people who just may be shy or lonely...they may be agoraphobic or they may have chronic illnesses (like myself) and the internet is a big part of their interaction. It can really hurt when you are chatting with someone one day...and the next, find out they're gone. There are the fair share of "odd ducks"...but there are also people who are genuinely decent and just need a sounding board. To not have that on a regular basis can crush your spirit and be a real discouragement. Maybe not the funniest topic in the world....but no book I have seen has addressed how cold and impersonal the internet can be and is currently. The last 2 days online have been especially hard for me...lost two "friends" that I had hoped would stick around...at least until Christmas (lol)...and there is no book around I know of that can comfort me right now.
