BRILLIANT! Apr 22, 2008
Ok, so let me say this right off the bat: I HATE self-help books. How to do this and how to do that, those books just irritate the b-jinkies out of me. That being said, WOW! I actually read this whole book cover to cover and my eyes didn't glaze once! The tenor of the author, as a normal person, not some lofty know-it-all that you can't relate to, totally bought me over. The advice and ideas for budgeting (from 'paying yourself' to itemizing the things that you plan on splurging over) are absolutely brilliant allowing me to put myself on a 'money diet' that I won't wind up discarding two weeks down the line in the interest of financially gorging on unhealthy portions because it's too hard to go cold turkey...like shopping at amazon.com.
5 stars for a fun and informative read, a book I'll actually read again without groaning!
