So Worth It Jun 10, 2009
By H. Horton Laugh out loud funny with FANTASTIC insights that every woman should know and maybe deep down already does. This is a fast and entertaining read that will have you taking notes before Saturday night. I got the book on Friday, read it on Saturday and applied what I learned Saturday night...AMAZING. Men really are THAT simple, we make it complicated. I have my copy in my purse and can't get it into my girlfriends hands fast enough. Thank you 'Mister X' for your glimpse into the male psyche and for being a fan in the most positive way for women. Love it!

I liked this better than the other version Oct 02, 2008
By Yvonne Johnson This is a fun little book I found at my local beauty salon. It has pretty sound advice about men; how they think, and why they do the things they do. It reads a lot like a collection of Cosmo articles really. It starts off discussing the various archetypes you will generally deal with in terms of how they are in relationships, and why your selection process is so important. Then it goes into how to go about finding your prince charming (if you happen to be looking). The rest of the book deals with what to do with him (or them) once you have him (or them). Of course the author seems to assume that women actually take the time to investigate the men they date before getting too serious. Still, it is rather funny at points. At the end of the book is a state-by-state collection of emergency help numbers. Good to know, but I am not quite sure why they were included. I wonder if the author thinks I will need these for some reason.
The book is divided into a few sections rather than traditional chapters and sub-topics. Probably the most useful part of the book is the section about getting the average guy to do things for you, especially your friends. The basic premise is centered around the old adage that you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. The point is that by being pleasant to be around, but not weak, or naive, you are working on guy's natural weakness to femininity. The truth that most of us don't seem to talk openly about is that there are a lot of ways to get men to like you without having to play their game. It is refreshing to see the other side of the coin, how men react when you exploit things like your smile, or get them hooked on your personality. Some of what I read here seemed a bit hard to believe, but now that I think about it, it really does make sense even if it is not always possible to do in every situation.

Witty book that makes a great gift idea! Dec 23, 2008
By Southern gal I will have to admit right off the bat that I'm not a big buyer of books on relationships or "getting a man," but this book is fun, witty, conversational - and informative all at the same time.
It is even serves as a sort of workbook, giving the reader places to figure out exactly what she wants - and, of course, doesn't want - in a man. In addition, the book has an appendix that includes a list of "must-own guy movies" and famous quotes for each one. (How handy is that, gals?)
"How to Get a Man to do Anything you Want" would make the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or co-worker on your list. Plus, everyone knows a woman who keeps ending up with losers. Do her a favor and buy this book!

I offered this book to a friend of mine, on her birthday. And that was the best thing I could do... (she said).

I have to admit that I thought I had no use for this book other than for a fun read...actually...I LOVE IT...and have told all of my girlfriends about it even if they are in a relationship. This is a very informative book in the most fun way! I've kept this book from my husband...and have been reading bits of hit here and there...you just never know when you will need to use some of this useful information!
