5thanks Dad  May 25, 2008
By Susan Trachik
I lived a portion of this book and I am forever grateful to its author for everything he taught me. I learned to find the good things in life and celebrate them. I learned to appreciate people for their good qualities. I learned to take chances and encourage others to do the same. I learned that a sense of humor is a very important quality.I love you Dad, and when I count my blessings,(and I do), I count you.

5Flaming Great Book  Jun 30, 2008
By Teresa A. Hayes
I laughed and cried, but I must say I think I get a bum rap on what happened during the Great Fire.

5A page turner  Jun 15, 2008
By Kamryn Becker
I recall, years ago, when I first read this book. It was not long after I met Jason (one of the many grandsons). I didn't know him well at the time, and I certainly hadn't spent much time with his family. I started reading the book one morning, and found that I couldn't put it down until the last page was read. I remember thinking as I read the book- WOW- what an amazing man to have as a grandfather! Since that time, I have gotten to know many of the people written about in this book well, and I too, feel blessed to be able to call these people my family!

If everyone lived their lives with the same morals and values as this author, the world would be a better place. Yudoo Pop
