By G. Belardi I found that this book was a very quick read, however the message is easily adaptable to everyday life. It encourages you to be passionate about the things you love in life and passion therefore leads to health. The language is easy to understand and it's definitely geared towards a younger audience. I would recommend it to tweens and teens, expecially athletes.
Forward Thinking about Health and Hip-Hop Sep 25, 2007
By Patrick Service I want to applaud these doctors for addressing this topic as it relates to the hip-hop community. As a health educator/hip-hop songwriter, I understand the importance of connecting to an audience with facts that may one day save many lives. These authors addressed six major health disparities to include a call to action for individuals, leaders and elected officials, and the hip-hop industry. The recommendations are sound and worth paying close attention. Get the book. To all, I wish you good health.

I am Hip-Hop I am Health delivers an entertaining account and perspective on health issues. This book is an excellent resource to students, educators and health enthusiasts. The organization of I am Hip-Hop I am Health allows the reader to easily follow the evolution of Hip-Hop and health. The authors enthusiam for the topic is obvious throughtout the book. I have learned so much more about health history and about my body. I will make better choices in selecting my foods and I will exercise at least 3 times a week. What a great book!
Finally a book we can relate to! Aug 29, 2007
By Thro'yo'hanz'inda'air I bought this book because I wanted to see if three young Doctors could "keep it real" about health and I'm glad I did. The Doctors opened up and told me a little bit about how they became professionals and talked about what I can do to live a more healthy lifestyle. This book was easy to read, entertaining and very educational. We need more books like this. Thanks, Docs!
