Unique, Clever, Imaginative, Pleasurable ~ Sparkles in its Detail! Worth It ~ Buy It! Mar 12, 2006
By Elizabeth Bacon-Smith
"Lizzytysh"
Natalie Fuhr is a vivid writer ~ this Imagination creation is very tastefully and erotically written. One of its many accomplishments is shedding more light on the truth that those who engage in the services of prostitutes are most often there for more than simply the sex. Although imagined in this regard, these scenarios are wholly believable... it's also believable that in real life, as well as in Imagination, there are sexless visits to warm and caring women, who meet countless other needs, oft-manifested in, yet unrelated to the sexual realm. Through G, Natalie makes the point well that these same women have needs of their own. Indigo is also a fascinating character, as evocative as her name.
These passages are rich in detail, as well as uncontrivedly erotic, all imparted with great class. Natalie's writing is clear and concise, with seeming simplicity; yet is inclusive of so many, different genres, and aspects of life, with its many dynamics, that it's fascinating to watch how she skillfully weaves so much together, including philosophy... who ever would have dreamt that a dominatrix could, believably, turn a reader on to Nietzche. Leonard Cohen's work... obviously deeply admired by the writer... naturally and effectively weaves in and out throughout it.
I loved the story's and characters' unpredictability. As in reality, Imagination moves quickly and comfortably, reaching out and tapping on many aspects of life as it goes, so speed reading is contraindicated... things may take a whole, new turn within a single sentence.
Delightful writing, Natalie! In the quick- and pleasurable-read category, this book warrants a 5-star rating. Your presentation of this unique story has appeal for a wide variety of readers. I enjoyed it immensely, its intrigueing ending lends itself to sequels, and I look forward to them. Imagination Suite inspires one to seriously wonder what really goes on daily, inside the many windows, high up from the street, in those tall and seemingly anonymous buildings.
