In Due Time

In this funny, poignant new novel from Nigel Reynard, In Due Time, the narrator tells an intriguing story about the relationships of a consultant living in Atlanta. He navigates the reader through a celebration of bachelorhood gone bad when he and his two lovers unexpectedly end up at the same place at the same time. The first woman in his life is Geena, a beautician who he has been dating off and on since high school. She has given him the ultimatum that the only way their relationship will continue is if she gets a ring by Christmas. The narrator can't do that because he has a second woman in his life. A woman soaked in his spirit.

5A GREAT RIDE!!!!  Mar 06, 2002
By Susan Blackley
This author is going to go straight to the top! A fabulous first effort by an up and coming African-American writer. The story held my attention from the first page -- I didn't want to put it down. Great dialogue and realistic depictions of what happens when people try to juggle several relationships. Plus, the real-life language and the background of Atlanta added a lot of color and humor. Truly a great piece of fiction.....or, is it really fiction? I loved it!

4Could not put it down!!!!  May 03, 2002

In Due Time takes you down a road where you find yourself talking and warning the characters out loud and next minute laughing uncontrollably. In Due Time is a must read.

This is a great read. The narrator makes you feel that you are there in Atlanta with the descriptions that are given. The characters seem very real as though you actually know them. I feel that the author has an exciting future ahead.
