5Great Courage  Nov 04, 2006
By Linda A. Widdis "reading for the mind"
Could not put this down when reading....holds you close and makes you feel
her ups and downs in life.

Good book for anyone having addiction problems and could aid in the recovery for someone else.

For a first time writer, I think she did an excellent job, and it took great courage to bare all.

I would highly recommend to read.

1Partially true should be the real title of the book.  Jan 27, 2007
By Patricia M. Lord
The only reason I ordered this book was to see what the author had written about. I wanted to see the author's perception of what had happened in the past. If you are going to write an autobiography about yourself, and come clean, then it should be the whole truth. You should not just pick and choose what you want to talk about from the past. A whole heck of alot was left out in this book about the author. The writing to begin with was horrendous, and an absolute disaster from the start. If you enjoy reading fragments and misspelling than this book is for you. If you are a reader and enjoy a good solid book, than I suggest you look elsewhere.

1THE WAY IT REALLY WAS  Jan 30, 2007
By THE TRUTHFUL ONE
THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN IN THE POOREST FORM OF THE WRITTEN LANGUAGE, EVEN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT COULD SPELL MANY OF THE MISSPELLED WORDS,WHERE WAS THE PROOF-READER. I BELIEVE THAT THIS BOOK WAS AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE SURE THAT HER NEW FOUND FAMILY AND FRIENDS NEVER FIND OUT THE WHOLE TRUTH.WHAT ABOUT HOW ABUSIVE SHE REALLY WAS,THERE WERE MANY THINGS SHE LEFT OUT IN HER WRITINGS ABOUT HER LIFE WITH THE ABUSIVE HUSBAND.THE TOOLBOX ALMOST HITTING HER HUSBAND'S HEAD,MISCONCEPTION,IT WAS NOT HIM.IN HER BOOK SHE STATES THAT HER HUSBAND AND HER GOT BACK TOGETHER WHEN THE CHILDREN WERE SMALL,2,4,5 AGAIN NOT TRUE. HE HAD ALREADY BEEN CLEAN FOR 1 YEAR BY THEN AND WAS ON HIS WAY TO CORRECTING HIS MISTAKES, CLEAN FOR 23 YEARS,NOT STILL ON THE METHADONE PROGRAM,WHICH IS STILL ADDICTED TO DRUGS,JUST STATE FUNDED NOW.I BELIEVE AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE TRUTH,NOT JUST HOW SHE REMEMBERS ITAND NOT HER IDEAS OF THE TRUTH.

5Over the top!!  Nov 03, 2006
By Carol Hower "Beatlegirl61"
This book is special to me in so many ways! First, could not put this down! The story had tears rolling down my face...this is a story of a brave woman who made it through with music as a key to her recovery...Very well written, especially for a person with a ninth grade education! A must have...especially if you're in recovery (& a Beatles fan!)Joe in Philadelphia
