In Jesus' Own Words: The Sermon on the Mount finally came in the mail. I was so excited! I sat down to read it and had to email Tim (the author) to tell him I had received it. It almost took an act of God to set it to the side for a few minutes. The messages are certainly bold eye openers and in everyday terms for everyone to understand. This simple way of reaching out I find is most effective to all readers. No one wants to hear the confusing gobble of someone who wants to look superior and intellectual when they are lost and confused as it is. This is also a great book for someone who just wants to sit down with a devotional to end their stressful day.
This book has some awesome blessed content that every Christian and soon to be Christian needs to help them in their walk with Christ.
I guarantee that everyone will love this book as much as I do!

Timeless wisdom Sep 12, 2008

It was a strange sequence of events that led me, an agnostic, to read this book. And although I don't personally believe in the Bible, I do agree that there is some excellent advice in the teachings of Jesus. And author Tim does a fine job of bringing such teachings to modern times -- so much so, that this book is sure to rank some day on the level of the classic "Daily Study Guide" books. Tim is certainly an excellent author, and his writing makes for a pleasurable read.
