I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't put it gown until I finished it.
In The Biblical Sense is not you normal romance novel, it is so much better. Sheba the main character was on a mission and the author's writing style took me along also. I laughed and I felt pain but most of all I felt love. A great read. After reading Biblical Sense I had such a warm feeling I had to tell my reading friends about it. You won't be disappointed. Ms Vaughn congratulations and please don't make us wait too long for the sequel

When my fiancé presented me with red roses and a romance novel instead of chocolates for Valentine, I was overwhelmed. This amazing gift captured my heart and continued the enchantment as I settled down to relish my special gift. I will always remember that Friday night as the sun was slowly leaving my Island home and I settled on my window seat in great anticipation! From the first page with the delicious chocolate descriptions, I remained in awe of this unique journey into blissful romance. The refreshing ocean scenes, the beach parties, dancing on the harbor, eating enticing Island food, the unexpected meeting, the first kiss, the first taste of intimate love, are just a few of the heart warming pleasures that kept me up until the sun came back to my Island home. Thank you, thank you, sweetheart for giving me a gift that I will cherish forever!

Dreams, Romance and Love! Jul 29, 2003
Cecilia Vaughn's way of writing is definitely unique. The suspense of love and romance is so captivating and intriguing that one cannot stop reading. All you want to do is to read and stop only when the story is finished. Sheba, the main character of the story is very well created. Being a busy college professor, little did one think she will have time enough for such a fulfilling romance. But throughout the novel, she moves from one great, interesting event to the other. From the moment the story starts, vivid descriptions of Sheba's family makes one sit up to learn more of what is up the author's sleeves. Sheba decides to move to a quiet place to concentrate on writing her musical piece only to fall in love like never before. Love over takes her and she is in a different world altogether. Her calm nature makes one wonders what her next move will be. Cecilia Vaughn does well with the language and theme. The flow of her work is very good. Though this is a suspense, never did she deviate from the theme. My heart pounded faster than normal when reading this book. This is because just when you think you are getting to the climax of the suspense, boom, down a slight decline you go and start again. I am sure Cecilia deliberately organized it this way and said to herself, "No, not so fast buddies, read on." This made reading the book very interesting, because you are always eager to know what is coming next. As for the food, the mountainous scenery and the descriptions of all the other scenes, they have been so well described. This makes your mouth water and makes you feel as though you are at that place at the time of reading. Oh my, names like "mountain goat" keep coming back to you and one wonders the cuteness of this young man, Solomon Quinn. Well, I hope this is developed into a movie or a theatrical concert where we can see it being played by humans. Here one can really enjoy the emotions just as much as portrayed in the novel. This is definitely a story both men and women will enjoy reading. As for the sequel, do I need to say anything? I just cannot wait!

PROVOCATIVE DESCRIPTIONS, A MARVELOUS GIFT! Jun 19, 2003

When I sat on the transatlantic flight and opened the gift from
my sister, I was in for one of the most thrilling treats of my life. The exquisite yellow lilies on the bright red background of the book cover brought sunshine to what was a dull, rainy day for traveling. From the first chapter with its provocative description of the accomplished men and women at the family reunion, I felt at home and ready to be drawn into this stimulating adventure. At the end of each chapter, I found myself pausing just to savior the extraordinary writing style of the author. Everyone can say "It was a beautiful morning" but Cecilia Vaughn adds flare and finesse, "Surely, this was another fantastic day evolving right before the eyes of those willing to embrace the gift!" Yes, I did embrace the gift of the book,
In The Biblical Sense. I'm praying that someone will make this into an awarding winning movie! THANK YOU SIS FOR INTRODUCING ME TO THIS TALENTED AUTHOR AND THIS MARVELOUS BOOK!

A modern romance novel for those who believe in love!!! May 01, 2003

What a wonderful way to caress the spirit while sampling different cultures in the comfort of your own home. I was mesmerized by the awesome writing talents of author Cecilia Vaughn as the pages of, IN THE BIBLICAL SENSE, unveiled the amazing life of Sheba Queen Dupree, a college professor. The reader is introduced to Sheba as she resolves a personal dilemma while meditating by the seashore of her Coastal home. However, her deliberation is interrupted by the exuberant sounds of the New Year's celebration. Surrounded by family and friends, the fete continues with wild abandon on the tiny Cay owned by her parents. The first cultural experience wraps the reader in its creative expression as the carefree locals perform their ritualistic spirit dance. Sheba is drawn into the fete and continues with wild abandon secure in the knowledge that her resolution is ready for implementation. Once the New Year's rituals are completed, she leaves her comfort zone and travels to culturally rich Martin's Mountain. Her mission is to compose a cultural musical and showcase her expertise as an accomplished musician. Determined to complete her project without distraction, she works tirelessly to accomplish her goal.
