5Very good overview of inner ear and dizzy disorders.  Feb 10, 2006
By dizzy
This is a very good overview of conditions which can cause dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders. If you or someone you know has these symptoms this should be required reading.

It explains that many disorders have no cure and discusses methods to control sypmtoms. An example would be Meniere's Disease which has no known cause or cure and treatment strives for symptom relief.

In addition to the contents of the book, it contains a wealth of information in the references cited.

5Great overview for profesionals and patients.  Feb 21, 2006
By A. Edmonds
This book covers nothing in deep medical detail but rather gives a wonderfully comprehensive overview of most if not all of the innner ear and balance disorders in plain English. It is easy to read and answers 99% of the questions a typical patient needs to know in order to effectively communicate with a physician.
I would recomend it to anyone who suffers from one of these diorders or to their friends and family.
Medical clinics and offices that don't regularly see patients with these diorders would be wise to have a copy as a quick reference before sending a patient to a specialist.
