Effective Means for Treating PTSD May 21, 2010
By James M. Lewis The practice of medicine, and its embodiment in the clinical encounter between a patient and a physician, is fundamentally a moral activity that arises from the imperative to care for patients and to alleviate suffering.
Within the patient-physician relationship, a physician is ethically required to use sound medical judgment, holding the best interests of the patient as paramount.
The book Innovative Holistic Approaches to PTSD and Life Stress, exemplifies Dr. Thakur's effort to fulfill his obligation as an ethically sound physician. The applications described in this book works to relieve the patient of acute episodes of PTSD and offer a suggestion to the patient for self-help remedies.
The principals here should be adopted by the APA as a relief formula for Mental Stress'.

Innovative approaches for understanding and reducing PTSD symptoms Dec 28, 2010
By Charlotte McCloskey
"Charlotte McCloskey"
I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Hemant Thakur and have seen the information presented in this book put into practice. The information provided in this text approaches recovery efforts from a holistic model. Dr. Thakur addresses PTSD and stress recovery by looking at not only the cognitions that occur with anxiety disorders, but also behavioral and physical effects of long term stress. As a psychologist, I can appreciate that Dr. Thakur approaches stress reduction through a positive psychology lens as well as implementing cognitive behavioral therapy to help alter stress reactions to emotional triggers. He also addresses physical health and behavioral changes that contribute to stress reduction and overall well being. Dr. Thakur has made this book very understandable for practitioners and persons seeking recovery, and provides information that is motivating for change. The text describes in detail how to develop tools and implement changes in daily life for stress reduction. Individuals who want to take greater charge of their goals for mental and physical well being will find this book informative and supportive. I recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn more about anxiety disorders and how to become more active in their recovery process.

Road to Harmony Jul 08, 2010
By John Dr. Hemant Thakur believes we can change the world for the better. This book is a roadmap for an individual to take control of their life using techniques developed treating combat veterans for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He shows how to create peace, harmony and abundance for you then sends you to aid humanity and complete your own development. He is a human spirt with faith that we can change the world for the benefit of all. I am among the hundreds of combat veterans that use his teachings to gain internal peace and reconnect with society positively. The path to success and freedom as well as the methods to find and walk "The Good Red Road" is mapped in this book.

Innovative Holistic Approaches to PTSD and Life Stress Apr 10, 2010
By Robert W. Randall This book exceeds Mega Mind Path to Success and Freedom with more real life examples and techniques. It also has more information on nutrition, life styles of centenarians without need to be on a lot of medications. I highly recommend this book for every day living and not only for PTSD victims. This book can help anyone to improve thier life.
An "easy read" with real life examples that were meaningful to me Apr 26, 2012
By Benjamin M. Sieve This book was a pleasant surprise to me. I am not a physician nor a veteran who has experienced PTSD. After a conversation with Dr. Thakur I wanted to read the book to better understand his ideas on a holistic approach to life stress. Before beginning the book I was concerned it may be "clinical" and difficult to get through. My initial perceptions were incorrect...this was an "easy read" with real life examples that were meaningful to me. Dr. Thakur has mixed humor into a practical guide for dealing with stress and improving how you live your life.
