Inquiry, Inclusion, and Students with Disabilities: Triumphs and Delusions

Short description: Juanita Ambrose, Ph.D., utilizing such research tools as questionnaires and in-depth interviews, set out to determine with scientific accuracy the perceptions (and misperceptions) of teachers regarding the appropriateness of and their readiness for teaching inquiry-based science to Students with Disabilities in Inclusion settings. There was emphasis on"inner city" schools. What Dr. Ambrose discovered about attitudes and preparedness will have long-reaching effects on school curricula.
