1Save your money  Feb 22, 2012

There is not a single original thought in this book. It is chock full of bromides, political correctitude, and new age jargon. You won't learn anything from reading this book. Save your money. I wasted my money and time. Don't you do the same.

5a gem of a book  Sep 20, 2007
By B. Reid "Edmonds Reader"
What I like most about this book is its personal voice. As I read, I feel as though a dear friend is giving me thoughtful advice. And the advice is always good: Listen, Give, Explore, Love.

5Compassionate, Humorous, Entertaining, and Wise  Aug 19, 2007
By Priscilla Long
Dr. Jay Schlechter's little book comprises lessons in relating that will immediately benefit anyone who reads it and takes to heart even one or two of its very doable suggested actions. It is personal and wise, humorous and empathic, a great substitute for years of expensive therapy, or so it seems to me.

5Thank you, Dr. Schlecter!  Jun 04, 2003

This book changed my life.

I was trying to find the right girlfriend and I was always uptight. A friend gave me this book. It didn't seem relevant at first, but I read it anyhow. I started focusing more on the people around me, cultivating my friendships like it said in the book.

Now I don't feel lonely and uptight any more. This is not a book about dating, but guess what? I've been meeting and dating some very nice women. I'm not sure if I'm ready to settle down just yet . . .

Thank you, Dr. Schlecter
