Irving the Frog and his Violin

Even a frog needs friends and true friends are there when you need them the most. Irving the Frog and his Violin by newcomer author Michelle Zwirn sings an enchanting tale of magic and wonderment. A fiddling good time, in this charming, colorfully illustrated children’s book a lonely violin-playing frog makes music and friends while sharing a lesson on how important it is to do what you love and love what you do. The author uses a precise and bold prose and a host of woodsy pals to share a timeless tale that proves that in the forest no man is an island.

5tender hearted, delightfully illustrated  Sep 23, 2009
Irving the Frog has been asked for again and again by my three-to five-year-old students. Simple, delightfully illustrated story has themes of feelings, belonging, manners, and, yes, music.

5Beautifully written and illustrated!  Apr 24, 2008
Irving the Frog and his Violin is a beautifully written children's story. It shares a wonderful life lesson for all ages. My young daughter loves the illustrations of Irving and his animal friends. She asks to have the story read to her night after night. Great writing, great illustrations and a great lesson....this is one book that I enjoy reading to her again and again.

5A great lesson for our kids and reminder to us all.  Apr 12, 2008
Irving the Frog and His Violin teaches an important concept we all want to pass along to our children. Especially in today's times when the definition of happiness and what's important can be so cofusing to our young people. The author does a fabulous job of doing it for us with magical words and beautiful illustrations. Irving is ingratiating, soulful, innocent and, most of all, incredibily lovable.
Michelle Zwirn does an insightful job of appealing to the soul of kids from 3 to 93.
