5Fun, zany, goofball poets  Dec 09, 2008

Two guys, funny, enlightening, weird, intense, and powerful!! Passionate about what they do. If anyone's read this book, you should also try their first one- Gifted Disabilities by Justin Blackburn. It is, how shall I label it, a wild crazy stream of consciousness ride a slope of America ala Bush Administration style (2004)

It's 11:11 now, my mission is done, OM

5I LOVE THESE GUYS!  Apr 14, 2008

I would say that Justin Blackburn and Kenny Norsworthy are two young men who will go far, but these guys are already there! If and when the rest of the world catches on to that fact we'll wonder how two so young got there so fast. I'd be flattering myself too much to say they remind me of me at that age. This is wonderful, profound, innocent, crazy, and gonzo mystical stuff. I love these guys!

4inspiring, loving. weird.  Feb 10, 2008

I ordered this book after finished Blackburn/Norsworthy's novel Gifted Disabilities which made me an instant fan and anything these two produce I will forever check out, which is saying a lot because I enjoyed It's Hard To Get There a lot more then Gifted Disabilities.

The poems are great. It seems like each one makes a valuable point on life or was at least interesting or funny, and like Gifted Disabilities some of the poems are extremely manic (which are still a load of fun to read and decipher), yet some are heartfelt, uplifting, well-thought out, and well-written beautiful poetry that reminds me of Ginsberg or Dickenson.

The only downside to this book is there is no real order and you can't tell who wrote what, and there are several typos.
Other than that, I highly recommend this book of wonderful poetry to anyone who needs to be inspired, or who needs to smile.
