Amazing Fun! Sep 19, 2009
By MariaSmiles For those of you who are looking into this book, but are not yet familiar with this couple, I want to let you know that I have taken their workshops and they are ALWAYS AMAZING!! In both my personal and professional life, I have taken hundreds of workshops and seminars from many different people in myriad subjects, and, in my opinion, Evan and Tara are THE BEST at it! Their workshops are always FUN, INSIGHTFUL, THOUGHT-PROVOKING, FUN, ENRICHING, FUN, and you meet and get to really interact with the most INTERESTING people! Highly recommended!

Wow, wowwy, and wowwiest Jun 08, 2010
By C. Shaver I met Tara Marcus at a Law of Attraction seminar where she told me that she had renamed her to-do list her Ta-Da! list...which gave me a great big smile. Genius right? Turn a cruel taskmaster into a source of strokes with a change of attitude. When she told me that she and her husband had written a book called It's O.K. to Play, I said, "I'm in. I'll buy it." Well I am so glad I did. This simple little gem of a book can and will change your life if you will heed it's happy siren call, I'll tell you. If you were to travel to the furthest reaches of the Himalayas and climb the highest hills to the most remote cave you would meet with a very wizened old master who would have the ability to reframe all of your life's troubles, trials and tribulations for you in such a way that you would smile, laugh and then rush back home grateful for what you know. Or...you could buy this book. On every single page you will get such an actionable fun thing to try that will literally turn your life inside out and turn that frown upsidedown...I can't begin to tell you. The Ta-da list game is on page one...but I loved the intro to the book itself, where she described her son's infectious, effective, enthusiasm and optimism for a great roll of the dice while playing Yahtzee. When I tell you that I have been figuratively travelling to the Himalayas to get in touch with that part of me I do not exaggerate. It was there all the time - I just wasn't using it. See what I mean? Now imagine a book full of 30 games that re-mind you (put you back in touch with what you already own) of exactly how easy and fun life is meant to be. Law of Attraction devotees, take very special note here. Tara and her husband have produced almost effortless processes that teach you to focus your mind, get into the Vortex and make your life sing with joy and harmony. Tara, had I known I was having lunch with a Master, perhaps I would have played the I bow before the Master game (joke!). But oo-la-la, you done good. You done sooo good. And one last thought, which sounds grumpy and doesn't really belong in a review of a book on how to play. But over the course of my life I have been drawn to 3 or 4 books that purported to be about play, and any number of academic articles. They were dull and lifeless things that might well have been written about mummies for all you could glean of how to use play yourself to transform your life. Well, this book is the fulfillment of my desire for a book about play that tunes you, teaches you, taps you into how to get back to your sit-in-the-sandbox-for-a-whole-day-and-have-outrageous-fun roots. The only thing left to you is the using of these fun techniques and PLAYING!
