All in one Oct 07, 2009 I just finished reading the book and it's simply great. I'm a former Adventist and all the facts in this book I already knew from reading hundreds of books and 3 years researching, but here you have everything in one. A big time saver. Thanks Teresa.
My prayer is that this book will be an eye opening for many yet to come. May the Holy Spirit move minds and hearts straight to Jesus Grace and the Gospel.

Well documented and written in love Sep 28, 2009 Incredible information - thank you for sharing your journey and confirming mine!
I cried buckets when I read "The Cross Fulfills" on pages 156-158 - so touching and true.
Even though I was 6th generation SDA I never had a salvation story until six months ago - now as a New Covenant Christian I do!!!
If you're questioning Adventism this book gives the answers in a gentle but true way. It is well documented and written in love, deep and yet easy to understand.

Recommended for honest seekers of Biblical truth Aug 09, 2009 This is an important resource for those who have the courage and objectivity to honestly evaluate the official doctrines of Seventh-day Adventists in relation to the New Testament and 2000 years of Christian History.
The authors have done thorough historical research, and document it well throughout the book. Their tone is courteous and compassionate, but they are also direct in challenging the falsehoods in the key doctrines of Adventism.
"True believers" in Adventism may defensively dismiss this work as lying and mean-spirited. However, as a former SDA who belonged to that denomination for more than 30 years, and was educated in its academic institutions from high school through college and seminary, I strongly recommend it as a valuable study for those who are seeking clarity and truth in the midst of the religious distortions and confusion of Seventh-day Adventism.

Great Research Aug 07, 2009 The research in this book has been careful and detailed. It is important for those examining Adventism to see the whole picture. Unfortunately, most of those raised in the SDA system don't have any idea was really happening in those days. The church has not been forthcoming with the "rest of the story." The Beems have taken on a difficult task, exposing the real issues in Adventism, while compassionately reaching out to their friends and family still in the system. Some will find the research threatening to their old ideas. I pray each reader will study this book with a prayerful heart and a mind open to the Spirit's leading.

Blessed Assurance Aug 07, 2009 The Seventh Day Adventist Church would have me believe that my salvation is based, at least in part, on my membership within their denomination. This book offered me assurance that it is OK not to be SDA. The authors were thorough in documenting their facts and sources pertinent to SDA Church history. They effectively demonstrated how particular Biblical scriptures have been uniquely explained by SDA doctrine, much of which has been based on writings from the SDA Church's prophet Ellen G. White, which leads to a faith based on salvation by works. The authors encourage their readers to base their faith on Christ and scripture alone. For those people considering their relationship with the Seventh Day Adventist faith, either to become a member or to terminate one's membership, I highly recommend this book.
