It's Time to Return to Lebanon depicts the struggles of three-generations of a Lebanese family, their love for each other and their homeland in beautifully illuminating and gentle prose, spiced with the fires of imagination. Brothers Azar and Bashir are not satisfied with their lives working at their parents' hotel in the summer resort town of Bikfaya. Like many of their peers, they choose to leave their homeland in search of wealth and opportunities elsewhere. But once they achieve the success they so desperately desire, they discover it is no substitute for the allure of their homeland and its sublime beauty. But the return home will not be easy - the brothers must face civil war, the loss of personal freedoms and even the possibility of death if they are ever to regain the sanctity of their lost Eden.
