Jesus Prays With Us Always: True Stories of Inspiration

Jesus Prays With Us Always: True Stories of Inspiration is a collection of short stories drawn from real-world experiences. Life events, great and small, good and bad, leave footprints on the spirit. These footprints outline the path of our lives. Jesus promises to walk with us on the path to influence us and even pray with us. He longs for us to befriend and develop a relationship with Him. Other individuals' experiences can show learning the Christian life through Jesus' sacrifice. Jesus Prays With Us Always consist of just such examples. Examples of successes and failures, helping others, dealing with conflict, devastation from trauma and loss are a small fraction of the book's content. You only need to call upon God and He will be by your side. The stories are based on nurses' experiences as many deal with many difficult situations. A Train With No Caboose is a story of a man who builds toy trains for children. He met a young boy at the radiation treatment center where the man was receiving radiation for his cancer. Each week, the man gave the boy a car for the train. The day had come to bring the caboose. The man looked around for the boy, but did not see him. A clinic nurse pulled him aside to break the news that the little boy died. This teaches about being complete through Jesus' grace. Near Misses, a message regarding the importance of prayer. Prayer is a strong, yet sometimes overlooked, treatment to provide comfort and hope. It is a story of a Nursing student forgetting to pray until the patient asked. Knifepoint relates an incident with a "biker" as he laid in his hospital bed. He was extremely agitated a car forced him off the road, crashing his motorcycle, and severely fractured his leg. He became hostile and especially disliked one of the night nurses. His "biker buddies" mistook me for the other nurse. They immediately surrounded me and were ready to "rumble". The lesson drawn regards dealing with raw emotions. The book's final section of is a series of stories about the Duffs, a family of nurses. Combined, this family had many experiences in their careers. Prayer and Divine intervention is an integral part of each. You get a glimpse of what a relationship with Jesus can be. Individuals who do not believe in God, those who question the existence of God, Christians of long-standing, new Christians, the old, and the young will appreciate the experiences found between these book covers. No matter what you believe, the stories' lessons will benefit you. The co-authors, David S.Gerstle, PhD, RN and Bonnie C.
