Jewel in the Stone

Have you ever felt lost, betrayed or like a stranger in your life? Jewel in the Stone is the story of Andrew Prentiss, an African-American, third-generation pastor of Third Street Baptist Church in Chicago. He should be content with his life and full of purpose. However, he is approaching mid-life and becoming increasingly unhappy with his pastoral role. In addition to that, he and his wife, Lisa, are having marital problems. With his world falling in around him, Andrew discovers a terrible secret and resigns as pastor of the church and moves to Atlanta where he enters the seminary. While in Atlanta studying for his doctorate in theology, he meets the Goddess Aset of ancient Egypt, who has come to assist him on his path to self-realization. Andrew has been betrayed and is disenchanted with his life. Can he find his way back from being so lost? Drawing from ancient Egyptian spirituality, Buddhist, Taoist, and Western religion and philosophy this novel is a spiritual journey to self-identity.
