A Continuing "Journey of A Thousand Words" Apr 26, 2009
By Joyce E. Ebrecht erik captured beauty his photographs in a way that almost brings you to that place...and the poems he writes completes the journey so you ARE there...the words are very thought provoking...i am sure that each entry brings different thoughts and feelings to each person...Let Me Go First took me through the journey of an illness and death of a dear friend...in a comforting way...Web of Deceit is also a favorite...in it I see beauty and danger, vulnerability and strength, fear and courage...a couple others that stood out to me at first glance are Night Rainbow and Wanting Just a Lifetime of You...this is not a book that you finish and put away but one that you can meditate on, revisit each place and see there something new...it truly is a continuing "Journey of A Thousand Words"...

An impressive journey through 'photoetry' Jun 12, 2010
By Suzanne Abrahamson
"Suzie Abrahamson"
When you start reading "Journey of a Thousand Words", you immediately enter the author's world
without even realizing it.
These poems capture you with their tunnel of emotions: page after page, their sincerity leads
you to establish a connection, a certain intimacy with what they tell.
They become a part of you, fixing themselves.
The art of 'photoetry'comes to multiply your impressions during the reading, and
you can't do anything but let yourself go to the evocative power of sight and words.
"Journey of a Thousand Words" is the splendid story of a lifetime: it's the sweetness,
the desperation typical of love, the sudden loneliness; it's the beauty of life,
the constant dream. And the endless hope.
"Don't worry about the unknown/ its all known by someone."

romantic perspectives May 29, 2010
By Veronica Denti I carried this little book in my bag for weeks, to enjoy new perspectives brought by a photopoem, every time I had a moment to pause, and every time I needed to shift my mind to a different way of seeing the world. The combination of text and images opens up new horizons of perception and empathy, a new channel to draw inspiration from.
Erik's view of the small or big or still or fast around him is an enchantingly romantic one, with a spark of joyful grin.
