Jumpy the Frog Children's Book Review Jan 05, 2008

Jumpy the Frog is a wonderfully written story about a nervous little frog and his many adventures living on Dreamy Pond. The illustrations are awesome! The reading level is probably for 6 to 9 year olds, but when I read it to my 3 year old daughter, she loved it so much that she wanted me to read it again to her. A great book and enjoyable for all ages!

This book is definitely a keeper!!! I read it to a 4 year old and her 9 year old sister was captivated by it also! It has a great storyline about Jumpy and his life that doesn't just target very small children. The illustrations are absolutely awesome in that they are very colorful and you can't help but smile at the expressions! Jake Farrell obviously knows children and this is a book that children will take with them into their adulthood as a favorite, maybe even keeping a copy to read to their children! Let's hope Jumpy has many more adventures in the not so distant future. Way to go, Jake!!

Jumpy The Frog is wonderfully imaginative and my grandchildren ask me to read it to them every night. It has become a ritual. Gorgeous illustrations and the kids just love it!!!!!! Can't wait to see what Mr. Farrell comes up with next. A BIG THUMBS UP - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
