Add it to your summer reading list kids! May 07, 2008
By Minal M. Rahimtoola This book is a wonderful insight into Mikaeel's mind as he shares his thoughts and feelings with us. It is simple yet powerful and real. Kudos to his family for supporting him and for donating all royalities from its sale to autism research and autism programs at their local schools (Newton Public Schools)!!
An important book for siblings of the disabled Jun 29, 2010
By RBC With this book, this young author has captured the mixed feelings that have to come in a life with a disabled sibling. That he can express both the positive and negative is a tribute to him and the openness of his family and is a great example of how facing, not denying, what is both good and bad makes it possible to learn, mourn loss and thrive in the face of life's challenges. And the illustrations are GREAT!!
Moving and insightful Apr 01, 2008
By Marion L. Gagnon This book is absolutely wonderful. Mikaeel has captured both the love, frustration, joy and confusion that a child can feel when he or she has sibling who marches to the beat of a different drummer. As a parent of adult children, one of whom developed differently, Mikaeel's words made my heart sing! As a therapist, I am overjoyed by the insight that he can offer to families and other children about their special family members. Bravo!

Overall, excellent book. Whats interesting about this quick read is that it could be also used to educate autistic children and teach them to socialize with their siblings.
Nice original artwork and presentation. Good job !
