Karma

Rochelle Moore, has written an introduction to KARMA in an easily read format which will change your life. Rochelle has taken this topic KARMA and writes for those who know there is a different way and want to explore it. The book contains many topics and shows you how, by simple changes in your thought patterns, you can make your life complete. The book includes quotes from Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, God, Confucius amd explains the symbols Yin & Yang,The Endless Knot, with great ease. As reviewed by Ellen Tanner Marsh – New York Times Best-Selling Author: Karma-It's a seeming simple concept that is either misunderstood or ignored entirely. Moore divides her work into succinct chapters that are presented in a comprehensive yet accessible everyday language. Moore makes the concept of Karma as a way of living, of DOING, accessible to readers who may not be rooted in spirituality. Indeed, Moore intrinsically understands the aspects of human nature that impede meditation and spiritual growth, yet is overwhelmingly optimistic about the latent potential of people of all backgrounds to realize their Karmatic path. She promised that Karma is 'the way to a new and happier life' and, through simple prose and uplifting poetry, certainly makes happier living seem not only possible but also readily attainable. Moore subtly demonstrates her immense knowledge of the subject-as well as her talent for writing-without appearing preachy or overly philosophic. As the title suggests, Karma can change one's life and Moore's book can bring the essence of Karma within one's grasp, thus changing the lives of its readers.

1Hopefully this won't come back to haunt me...  Jun 29, 2009
By Scooter Robinson
I feel conflicted about this book. On one hand, I want to support indie authors, but on the other, I feel ripped off.

Rochelle Moore has assembled a collection of.. clippings and thoughts, and published them as a book "about Karma". There's no real insight or unusual perspective. The clippings are maddeningly incomplete and the thoughts are... well, trite. Some of the 'thoughts' are in the form of poetry, which is genuinely unbearable and childish.

Not to lambaste the book too roundly, but even the production value is borderline. In an effort to make the various thoughts and quotes seem different (I guess?) Ms. Moore has changed the font from page to page, but it ends up looking almost like she's centered some of the pages with spaces instead of justification... oh, and there are no page numbers.

I've said enough, but I'm just going to insert a quote to give an idea of the style of the poetry... perhaps I'm just missing something:

"PEACE, LOVE & LIGHT
Keep your words and morals true.
All entities you mind.
Within your inner soul renew
the truth of all mankind.

Karma lies in all around,
no person, place nor thing.
To all, you see, it can be found
in nature's voice, will ring.

All beings of this universe
all creatures, humans, entities.
Your Karma lies for you to find
a path that sets you free."
