This true story is about an incredible international friendship that led to profound love, devastating loss, and the ultimate life-challenge to overcome what was never meant to be. Keep Right On reveals the intimate relationship that the author personally shared with Paul David McCann; the most incredible man she has ever had the privilege to love. Julie met Paul and his family by chance in May 1981 while she and her family were vacationing in Walt Disney World. Despite that fact that the McCann's were from England somehow, the friendship blossomed into an amazing relationship. Every few years, each family would cross the Atlantic to visit each other; each trip was better than the previous one. Paul and Julie always considered themselves so-called "siblings" until January 2007. A sixth-year submariner in Her Majesty's Royal Navy, Paul had some leave time and decided to come to America for an impromptu visit. During those ten days, Julie could no longer deny what she felt deep inside; she was madly in love with him. One week after his visit, Julie mustered up the courage to tell Paul how she felt. Prepared for the ultimate rejection, she was shocked when she learned that Paul had been in love with her for "as long as he could remember!" Three weeks later, Paul came back to America. In a whirlwind romance, Paul and Julie prepared for a life together. They got engaged, told their families the news, and started the US Visa application process. Four weeks later, while Julie was, ironically, vacationing in Walt Disney World, she learned the devastating news.
