5I could have written this book  Jul 24, 2009
By Vivian Fulgencio
I would so much like to find a way to communicate with this author because I just lost my father who lived with us for 3 1/2 years. My mother died of Alzheimer's disease 7 years ago so I could relate to dealing with the disease and could so understand her frustration with her mother because my father chose to live out his final years exactly like Molly's mother did. This was the perfect read to decompress after losing dad 3 months ago and trying to reconcile the demons that still live within me about whether I was a good enough daughter or not. And whether I did the "right" thing and whether it was "good enough". I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a caregiver of an elderly parent. The feelings of resentment and helplessness are real and Molly put them down on paper. Somehow, knowing I was not alone made me feel better. Thanks Molly.
