Fun to Read Sep 02, 2009
By W. Michaelson San Francisco Kids Around the World by Pamela Michaelson, is a new series designed to expose children to the history, geography and culture of different countries. These colorful books for children aim to increase tolerance and understanding of different countries around the world. Michaelson uses characters of boys and girls from South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States, to show how unique and similar children are around the globe.
This book is a must have in your children's library it is not only educational but very insightful. The colorful characters make learning fun and enjoyable. These book will educate both you and your child.
More books please.. Sep 07, 2010
By J. McAndrew I bought these books on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. As a member of a Mother and Toddler group in England I can say that the books have been well used and enjoyed by all. They are a fantastic way of getting young (preschool) children introduced to the world of geography and other cultures in a gentle fun way and are beautifully illustrated. I thoroughly recommend them they with just one plea, Author please can we have some more.
Very cute series of books AND AFFORDABLE! Sep 03, 2010
By S.D.Bessick After purchasing the book on South Africa, I was so impressed that I went ahead and purchased the other 2 in the series(UK AND USA). The children that I know and have given these books to as gifts have a very warm reception to the books, while they are very educational they are fun to read as well - giving kids insight to other cultures. This has been one of the MOST AFFORDABLE gifts I have been able to give whilst still keeping the little ones impressed. The quality of the books is great for the pricetag - BARGAIN!
