Killer Code Dec 16, 2006
By C. K. Blatnicky I am not a technology person, but I was hooked after the first chapter. Walker has it all in Killer Code: the believable characters; workplace banter; humor; a love interest; the proverbial car chase; food and fashion. He weaves it all into a fascinating mystery murder. I am looking forward to his next book!

killah mystery Nov 30, 2006
By b that A splendid combination of suspense, Silicon Valley politics, personalities and humor. The author must be in high tech to make that world come alive as the perfect setting for this mystery.

Terrific Book Jan 23, 2007
By Bonnie L. Mueller This novel is great. I enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the mystery. Throughout the book, I thought each and everyone of the characters could be guilty. I know nothing about high-tech, but as a reader I give "Killer Code" five stars. I bought a second copy for my son-in-law who is a programmer.

Get past the first chapter Jun 23, 2007

As a practicing software nerd, I like to read mysteries set in the industry. I was concerned after reading a couple of pages - it felt marginally OK, but like an unconfident writer, with some odd tics, like using the girlfriends full name every time he mentioned her and clinging a little too closely to the plot line (polished writers feel free to wander off into the characters backstories and the rest of their lives).
Happily, as the book goes on, the writing becomes less forced and the plot takes you forward nicely. I really enjoyed it and my picky spouse did, too.
Only noticed one typo, which is better than most mainstream books.
