Kory the Khameleon: Pretends to be Sick

Young Kory is a chameleon, a lizard who can change the color of his skin on a whim. One morning, when his big sister Kelly wakes him up for school, Kory announces he’s simply too tired to go…thanks to the Captain Chameleon comic book he stayed up late reading the night before. Prompted by Kelly, Kory hatches a scheme to convince his parents that he’s too sick to go to school: he’ll use his chameleon skills to fake an illness! Kory’s parents are wise to his plan, however, discrediting his increasingly amusing claims of pink eye, poison ivy, and the chicken pox. The colorful illustrations of Kory in all his many colors are sure to give little readers the giggles as they admire his special knack for playing sick.
