LCR -Last Chance Rescue - One

It begins with the kidnapping of 17 year old twin sisters in Arlington Virginia, and the subsequent rescue by their parnets in Rock Creek Park in Washington D.C., after which one daughter asks the parents."If your so good at this sort of thing, why don't your get together with some of your old associates and form an organization to do this for others." After some discussion with old friends the parents do just that and this book is the first in a series of at least four which are the ongoing story of what starts with a group of six ex-CIA special service operatives and grows to an organization operating around the globe. The girls Carley and Debra Wilson and their parents John and Cynthia form it and the girls work at first in the office but after the first rescue of a little girl kidnapped from her mother who has custody by the girls father who is the leader of a colombian drug cartel, the girls begin to show their stuff and shortly take on additional duties and become leaders with their parents. Additional teams are organized and base of operation is found in Texas at an old closed WW II Air Force Base. After the first rescue which was requested by the grandfather of the girl, they recieve a gift from the grandfather who is a wealthy industrialist in Mexico the use of a satelite system his companies have developed and with it the ability to do things even their former employers the CIA and the NSA cant do, and it gives them the ability to work out of their home in Virginia or the Base in Texas and eventually from their aircraft and search from above. As they grow familure with the new equipment they discover it's true capacity to find thing on earth using video, infrared, and radar. And after being asked by the FBI through agents they had met during Carley and Debras kidnapping to assist in locating a german girl kidnapped in New Orleans the two girls kidnapped in Idaho, they prove to be of valuable assistance to any one who needs them. The series is about the rescues, it is also about the people, their lives, their thoughts, and eventually for Carley an unexpected romance, followed shortly by an even more unexpected romance for Debra. It follows the men and women who joined the organization and their families and in some cases their first meeting with those who will be their families. It joins people who were once enemies working for different countries security agencies and militaries and showes how much they were actually alike. As the organization grows men and women from different militaries from across the world come to work side by side with people that in a few cases had met and tried to kill each other in another time. This is a composit, many stories in one, all tied together with a cast of several hundred and their families, and as it continues new people come into it, and some old antagonists resurface from incidents that took place several books earlie. It has intrigue, action. families with all the problems that can lead to, and it has romance, and it has visual discription that will put you in places, and make you see them. You will get to know the two main characters Carley and Debra, what and how they think, how they are alike and how they are different. You will find that both girls are extremely intelligent and one of their greatest passions is learning. That both do not need a man to protect them, they are perfeclty capable of doing it themselves. But they do so enjoy having the right man in their lives. The girls have lived all their lives surrounded by men and women who spent their lives in the uniforms of their country, their baby sitters wore combat boots, male and female so it is only natural they feel comfortable in that world and are drawn to a life of serving others, once started they found that LCR was the life they were ment to live and became a part of it, fully moving into it right after the first mission the teams worked.
