layman thomas is right on the money Dec 02, 2007
By Michael J. Tropp LAYMAN THOMAS' NATURAL HEALTH AND FITNESS REALLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN TITLED WAYMAN THOMAS' NATURAL HEALTH AND FITNESS SINCE THOMAS EXPLAINS THE PROPER WAY AND WEIGH FOR EVERYONE TO LEAD A HEALTHY AND NUTRITIONAL LIFESTYLE. IN SHORT, CONCISE AND PRECISE CHAPTERS THOMAS EXPLAINS DIETING, EXERCISE, AND PERSONAL CARE ISSUES THAT ARE TRULY BENEFICIAL. THE RECIPES INCLUDED IN THE BOOK ARE SIMPLE AND EASY TO PREPARE, YET CREATE TRULY TASTY MEALS. I ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE CHAPTER ON EXERCISE WHICH INCLUDED EASY TO FOLLOW DIAGRAMS INDICATING THE 14 ROUTINES THOMAS RECOMMENDS. SINCE I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED WALKING, I AM GLAD THOMAS INCLUDED INFORMATION INDICATING HOW BENEFICAL WALKING IS FOR EVERYONE. THE CHAPTERS ON PERSONAL CARE ISSUES, AND NATURAL REMEDIES FOR COMMON AILMENTS ARE QUITE INSIGHTFUL AND SUPPORT THOMAS' CLAIMS OF A NATURAL LIFESTYLE. THE BOOK CONCLUDES WITH A SAMPLE 7 DAYS MENU THAT INCORPORATES THE HEALTHY, NUTRITIONAL COOKING METHODS THAT HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED THROUGHOUT THIS BOOK. I SINCERELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR EVERYONE INTERESTED IN MAINTAINING GOOD HEALTH AND NUTRITION IN A SIMPLE, EASY TO FOLLOW, AND EASY TO MAINTAIN MANNER.
It's like having your own personal trainer! Oct 29, 2007
By Michael H. Davis
"Mickey"
Layman Thomas has become my personal trainer. The recipes, natural foods, exercise, but most importantly, the philosophy of life found between the book's covers, all combine to give the message of better living through harmony (with nature). There's no need to find a gym, no need to shop for the latest fad foods, no need to find the latest advice. In a sense, it's been there all the time, it took Layman Thomas to set it down in type for us to read. Once you find the rhythm of his approach, you can adopt the philosophy as your own, make forays beyond the confines of his specific instructions, and expand your horizons. This book is a true jewel, and money can't buy a personal trainer as effective and easy to understand as this one.
Great Advice, Valuable Explanations Oct 17, 2007
By Francois THIBAUT - Auteur Forget about fad diets and exercise books to maintain your health. I've tried so many and none has ever worked for me. Finally Layman Thomas Kovarcik not only gives great advice about what to eat and not to eat, but tips on exercise too. Best of all -- he gives the reasons behind all of his advice. That's why his method works !
A Very Useful Source Sep 30, 2007
By Kathleen S. Marrolli I truly like this well-written, concise guide because of its logical, simple approach to achieve and maintain natural health and fitness. Layman Thomas presents convincing reasons for eating natural foods and using natural products for a variety of other healthful purposes. He also provides a workable exercise program to follow twice a week. So far, I have found the natural foods and recipes I've tried to be quite delicious. Lifting light weights slowly is producing results I can see and feel. The suggested homemade solutions made from natural ingredients do alleviate common ills like a sore throat and even clean furniture without toxic substances! As promised, the useful information in this book is helping me to be fit and healthy "naturally."
