We have been all along trained to distance ourselves leader within us and to accept the role of followers. Yet, leadership is what it takes for people to advance and change their lives for the better. Leadership is key to happiness and development, both at a personal and social level. To lead involves influencing others, getting them to see, adopt a vision and participate in the achievement of a common goal. For leadership to occur, leaders must communicate the vision to followers, subordinates or other team members.
