Learn to Spell 500 Words a Day: The Consonants (Volume 6)

This Book is a Part of a Comprehensive Phonics & Spelling Program by Camilia Sadik. Using Camilia’s Program, those who can read but cannot spell the words that they read memorize the spelling of 20 to 50 words every hour, dyslexia will be prevented or ended, and dyslexics become excellent spellers. The program is in the form of books and e-books. Using the first book titled ‘Read Instantly’ parents can easily teach their children to read before sending them to schools, and teachers can easily prevent dyslexia in K-3. If you know anyone who cannot read, ‘Read Instantly’ can help you teach that person to read in days or weeks. The titles of the books are 1-Read Instantly 2-Learn to Spell 500 Words a Day 3-100 Spelling Rules. ‘Learn to Spell 500 Words a Day’ is in a series of six volumes, and the titles of the volumes are The Vowel A, The Vowel E, The Vowel I, The Vowel O, The Vowel U, and The Consonants. The program is cumulative and the books are for three different levels. All are required to start with ‘Read Instantly’ even if they can read and comprehend. ‘Read Instantly’ is for reading phonics, not for reading comprehension. Skipping a book is like forcing a baby to run before he or she can crawl or walk. The books are to learn phonics, to prevent or end dyslexia, and to memorize the spelling of 25,000 words. The direct instructions in the books are easy to follow; most can learn without the help of a teacher. The books are for adults, children, schools, homeschooling, ESL, beginners, intermediate or advanced levels, and for all types of learners. Some of the 30 unique learning features in Camilia’s Program are: All words are divided into syllables, all silent letters are italicized, phonics to be learned are bolded and colored, the font size is large, English is dissected, 100 spelling rules are presented, each new lesson begins with a spelling rule, all the words that follow a rule are listed, the words are then used in a nonsensical story with illustrations, comparisons are offered, every vowel is in a book, the consonants (c, g, h, q, s, x, w, and y) are in a book, new concepts like semivowels are created, the reason we cannot spell is diagnosed, we learn how to prevent or end dyslexia, we learn not only 26 letters but 180 other symbols we call phonics, prefixes are presented in 900 words, the silent letters are in a chapter, all the compound and hyphenated words are in a book, the process of placing phonics in a queue and then introducing them one-at-a-time is used in ‘Read Instantly’, the concept of Informing before Introducing a phonic is applied throughout ‘Read Instantly’, a breakthrough memorization method and the only comprehensive program are made available, and having a combination of that many formulas in one program makes learning inescapable. This book titled “Learn to Spell 500 Words a Day – The Vowel Consonants” is for the intermediate level and it is the sixth in a series of six volumes; The eight inconsistent (c, g, h, q, s, x, w, and y) are isolated in this book and they produce 50 sounds that are spelled in 60 ways (60 phonics). Examples: 1- The H in hot has a different sound from the H in Mouth 2- The S in has sounds like Z 3- The G sounds like name of the letter G in huge, but not in hug 4- The C sounds like the name of C in cell, like the k in cup, like the sh in social, and like the name of the letter Q in cute 5- The Q always sounds like the letter K, not like the name of the letter Q and every Q is followed by a U and then by a vowel. The sound of the actual letter Q is not found in Q, but in cu as in cute 6- The Y has five sounds: yes, by, happy, day, boy, gym 7- The W has four sounds: we, few, low, cow. Students must be informed of such changes beforehand. Tutor reading phonics from ‘Read Instantly’, teach advanced phonics and the spelling of 13,000 words from ‘Learn to Spell 500 Words a Day’, spell additional 12,000 multi-syllabic words from ‘100 Spelling Rules’ SpellingRules.com

5Making sense out of English spelling  Mar 13, 2010
By C. Curtis
This is the most amazing book. It turns out that consonants have rules too. For instance, my students enjoyed reading that the letter "k" is not allowed in long words. A fifth grader said, "I always got scared when I heard this sound because I didn't know if I should spell it with a "k" or "c" or "ch." Now, that I know that the "k" is not allowed in long words, spelling is easy now. I like that the "ch" which sounds like a "k" is only in 70 words and here they are on one page in this book. I can memorize these 70 words and never be scared of hearing the sound of "k" again." Thank you Camilia Sadik for telling people that English makes sense.
