Learn to Spell 500 Words a Day: The Vowel O (Volume 4)

This is the only comprehensive phonics and spelling textbook/workbook and it contains 30 unique features. It is in a series of six 152-page books; each of the five vowels is in a book by itself and all the unsteady consonants are in the sixth book. The Vowel O book is to teach the 12 sounds of O spelled in 20 ways. Lessons are presented in this logical order: 1. Long O spelled in nine ways: snow, court, Joe, Joan, Rose, Plato, sold, boy, boil; 2. Short O: Ron; 3. Nine other sounds: cow, out, boot, wood, Ought, who, you, one, coyote; 4. Weak sound: Minor. Each pattern of O is isolated and justified by a spelling rule; the words are grouped and then used in a story. Example: The 133 words as in Plato are listed, justified by a rule, used in a story about Plato, and the sentences in the story are like this: Plato, as a solo, also played the cello. Learners read aloud and learn to spell the 133 readymade words within hours. The 30 unique features make it impossible for one not to learn.
