Learning for Profit

Does it frustrate you, that despite your best efforts, you still cannot seem to get ahead? If you want to prosper, then you have to begin doing things differently. You must change your thinking and learn new skills faster. Do you think that the people you read about in magazines are 10 times, 100 times or 1000 times smarter than you are? Generally, that is not going to be the case. Most of these people have simply learned how to quickly position themselves in front of available opportunities in order to take financial or career advantage. What do they know that you don't? How do others do it? Simple. They learn how. . . and they learn it faster than everybody else. They are then positioned to prosper when opportunity knocks. They act promptly, confidently making their decisions. Now you can learn how to do the same. You can learn to profit and prosper too!

5Learning for Profit - Easy to Follow Advice for All Ages  Aug 03, 2007
We typically think of our learning years as those spent in traditional educational institutions and yet to be current in business and in life, we must be continually seeking out new knowledge. Learning for Profit is filled with practical thinking on why we must be continually learning and how, in our time-starved lives, we can make room for learning. The author refers to his book as a "skinny book" in which he has removed the fluff and gotten right to the point. It's a quick read, but one you'll want to refer to often. A great motivator. I've taken many of the ideas, especially how to read a non-fiction book, and put them in place. It's enabled me to read more, faster and retain more. Great read.
