Great idea. Great book. Great author. Sep 08, 2009

It is my privilege to rate Left Shoe, Right Shoe. This book is not only a great idea...(what a fun way to teach something so fundamental to childhood); but also this book is full of the wonder and beauty of childhood. Every parent who likes to curl up with their children and a good book, should have this on the bookshelf. Additionally, if you happen to be struggling with this concept of left and right, this is a great way to teach it. This book is a must have.

This is a darling book! My daughter loved it and most importantly, she learned from it. She had struggled with the concept of left and right because she is left-handed. Using the animals to represent left and right was a creative concept that small children easily grasp. I recommend it for sure!
Fabulous Book. Entertaining and Educational. Feb 08, 2010

What a wonderful concept! A vibrant, lovable cast of characters and an entertaining story line make for a book that is loved by all three of my children. Plus, teaching right from left is now officially off my mommy duties. :) A must-have children's book.
A big help! Feb 05, 2010

This book helped my daughter learn her left from her right. She had been struggling in both her dance and gymnastics classes each time her instructor would say, "put your left (or right) foot forward." The character in the book, Lorenzo, was a delight to follow and my daughter enjoyed the adventure he had with the Ladybug (LEFT) and the Rabbit (RIGHT).
Great idea to teach a fundamental concept! Nov 12, 2009

"Mom who values reading!"
I love this book, what a fun way to teach a fundamental concept of left versus right. I did not find another book that explained this concept in a way that a younger child could also understand. The illustrations were beautiful and "soft," and not overly done. A great find for any child's library especially if you are thinking about piano lessons!
