Hickman, Texas founding father William Carroll Crawford, Dr Pepper distributor Sam Prim, rodeo promoter Everett Colborn, Baptist crusader Mina Everett, the entrepreneurial Higginbotham brothers, and dozens of other tales of outlaws and Indians, soldiers, physicians, preachers and pioneers.

4Excellent History of Dublin Personalities  Sep 16, 2009
By D. A. Hill
I found this book to be an interesting history of the personalities of Dublin. As I was born and raised in Dublin, this was particularly interesting to me. It was fun to read about the doctor who delivered me, the doctor who was my family doctor, the businessmen and personalities, teachers, school officials, etc. I only found mention of my father, Herbert Bell, once in the book in reference to a location of a business adjacent to Herbert Bell's Hatchery, and of course I would like to have seen mention of his life and business. All in all I think this book was well written, colorful and interesting.
