5A fresh, intriguing read that will give readers much to ponder  Nov 10, 2009
By Midwest Book Review
War is not waged with guns and bombs, but the heart. "Letters to the Lord: Learning to Live in My World of Wars" is written by a military man who takes a new, heart and mind based approach to warfare and suggests that there is much that faith and spirituality can provide to better understanding the current tactics of war as a whole. Calling for self-criticism and more creative ways to push the message of peace, "Letters to the Lord" is a fresh, intriguing read that will give readers much to ponder.

5Letters to the Lord: Learning to Live in My World of Wars by Don Reeves  Nov 22, 2009
By Denita Lewis
This was a wonderful collection of letters to the Lord. Some were funny and some made you sit back and think. What I liked most is that I could relate to a lot of the feeling in these letters, or maybe I should say that these letters let me know that I was not alone, there was also a very human side to them. I have had the privilege to meet and study under Don Reeves, and he did not let me down with this book. He talks out his worries, hopes, fears, happiness, experiences, surprises, and observances in the most colorful way. This book is well worth reading again and again.
