This survey of lichens on Bureau of Land Management properties on the south shore of Lopez Island, San Juan Islands, Washington State is by Dr. Fred M. Rhoades lichenologist/mycologist from Bellingham, Washington. The document is Volume 9 of the Douglasia Occasional Papers published by the Washington Native Plant Society. It includes a historical and descriptive review of the diverse lichen habitats along this shore that are typical of such marine locations throughout the Northern Puget Sound region.
