A quote from the book..."If the writing of this book helps just one couple save their relationship, it will have been time well spent."
Life Interrupted: It's Not All About Me, by Chris Tatevosian, is an autobiographical account of the author's life with Multiple Sclerosis; it is written from the heart. The author shares how he was diagnosed at a time in his life when he had dreams and expectations for his future, how his life was affected by MS, and his struggles to remain a healthy and active individual. That's just the beginning of the book. The second part of the book focuses on how MS affected not only him but his relationship with his wife at the time.
Mr. Tatevosian shares the mistakes he made and describes his "poor me attitude". The author does not gloss over his mistakes but is brutally honest with his emotions, thoughts and behaviors. This is a book not only for those with a chronic illness or disability but for anyone who needs to gain a better understanding of how words and actions can destroy relationships. Mr. Tatevosian makes a great impact on addressing the "poor me attitude" in a book of only 147 pages. It seems like a short read, but there is so much insight from the author that it is a must have.
Thank you, Chris Tatevosian, for sharing your life story with us.

Great Book Jan 08, 2009 This is a great book for any family with someone suffering from a chronic illness, not just MS. The care givers needs are often overlooked when an illness becomes part of the family. This book gives an honest look at what can happen when communication breaks down and needs are not met. The book provides a good blend of humor to lighten a depressing subject. Well done!

Wonderfully written from the Heart Sep 26, 2008 I couldn't have been more surprised and delighted once reading, to find this story had not only about the obvious but the underlying struggles this man goes through in the process. Delighted sounds callous, and I don't mean I'm delighted he has the health issues he does. I mean delighted, in that the book had so much more depth to it than I first imagined.
Chris M. Tatevosian humbly writes from his heart to encourage not only those struggling with MS, that there is life with this disease, BUT he writes to encourage everyone to let go of the 'poor pitiful me' syndrome that we all take on with any life challenges. He claims that this PPM (poor pitiful me) syndrome is more dehabilitating than the disease MS itself.
Chris shares his experiences in his life and marriage, and how PMM broke him and his relationship with his wife down bit by bit. He does this to encourage the reader to learn from his mistakes ... to take a different path whether the reader has MS or not. In reading his book, you can clearly see he deeply desires his readers, to count thier blessings daily. He encourages us all to remember those around us ... those who support us. He wants us to not only love them daily but remember not to take them for granted through our PMM.
Chris' testimony and story encouraged me to take life one step at a time, with humor, grace, and patience for all around me.
Whether you're saddled with disease or circumstance, we're all subject to feel sorry for the lot life has dealt us. This book is a wonderfully written reminder to make sure to count our blessings and be aware of those we love around us. To not only be aware of their needs, but tell them every day how much you love and appreciate them. This is a wonderful read and I would highly recommend it.

Chris sincerely shares himself Aug 10, 2008 Life Interrupted is a touching truthful account of one man's journey through youthful health and its expectations, as well as a revealing path through the painful trials and personal losses caused by his MS, and the overcoming faith that triumphs in the face of it. Chris, by selflessly allowing the us to see the mistakes made in personal life while facing the incredible challenge of illness, gives invaluable insight to a situation that we all may face eventually.

Chris' journey through illness is helpful to others Mar 17, 2008 I thank the author for his transparency and humbleness in relaying
his experiences with chronic illness and relationships.
This is a book of hope for that time when people get stuck in the cycle
of pain and frustration because of the presence of illness and it's effects
on the lives of everyone involved!
Thanks for the book! Kari Semik
