Encourages introspective thoughts Dec 12, 2009
By Heather A. Mullholland This book was even better than the first by Dr. Keller. The writing style has much improved and the read is much cleaner. There are many chapters which flow easily into ones life, creating a starting point for discussion with the self about the self. This book is excellent for people with a background in Buddhism, Spirituality, Literary criticism, or philosophy but is also open and welcoming to one with no such background. The author fills in the gaps with concise historical anecdotes to make sure the full understanding is not lost due to lack of knowledge or experience.
An excellent read!

This book is indeed Medicine for Awakening... Jan 14, 2010

"AUM"
This book is a magical read! Life is Living Life:the Medicine of Awakening embodies the divine nectar of awakening, passing this medicine to the reader as they progress on a personal journey of self discovery as Buddha Nature. The chapters progress the reader through the sacred teachings of multiple systems as one, rooted in the natural state of being in "suchness" as the author refers to the essence of Being. This allows for the gentle yet powerful initiation of a direct pathway of awakening in the reader without the danger of becoming entrapped within the practices or methods of self realization, for the methods are only in place to cross over to the shore of realization and themselves are but mere pointers to the totality Awareness. This book is excellent for anyone who has felt the call to the path of self realization, and will promptly set them confidently on the Way
Insightful Apr 19, 2011
By Joshu I found this book to be insightful with many pearls of wisdom. The author seems to be speaking from direct experience. This book will be useful for beginning and advanced meditation students. People new to spirituality will benefit as well. I don't know what to say, except that it touched something very deep inside, like watering a seed that was waiting to blossom. Highly recommended.
