Lit Within: Lessons From the Light

When a child is born into a First Southern Baptist family and comes to realize she has the extraordinary gift of clairvoyance, conflict and secrecy must prevail. In the case of Melody Reid, noted psychic and media guest, the gifts held in silence through most of her life finally demanded public disclosure. A turning point in her life came when Melody found herself transported down a tunnel of white light culminating in the body of an injured Civil War soldier. He extracts a promise from her to tell his story and her own, one that reveals a lifetime of paranormal events. Lit Within: Lessons from the Light (The True Life Story of a Reluctant Natural, Psychic, Clairvoyant Medium) is Melody's captivating and often moving account of many instances when lives were saved, or changed forever, due to her psychic gifts. Whether a skeptic or a believer, her accounts are gripping and convincing for any reader.

5Amazing lessons lerned from amazing stories shared by an amazing woman!  Sep 28, 2007
By Altmed
For anyone who has ever experienced, or has curiosity about paranormal experiences OR if you suspect your children or grandchildren have, this is a *MUST READ*!

Lit Withing is an incredible journey of a woman who had experiences with the paranormal that are pretty common, although we learn as we get older that it's "just our imagination."

Though her experiences, one can learn what these experiences are, how to deal with them, and if you have a child who has "strange experiences" with ghosts, visions, etc. it is extremely helpful for parents to understand!

Also, it opens those who've repressed their experiences, as the author did because of her upbringing, to open back up and listen to what's going on in the universe!

A fascinating, true story AND a lot of life lessons that we can ALL learn from.

I hope to see more from this author soon!

I understand the release of this book to the general public is coming soon (Nov. or Dec. 2007) A MUST HAVE for any library in churches AND home libraries of those who have interest in angels, ghosts, visions, paranormal experiences, and so on!

5A Good Read  Dec 09, 2007
By Barbara Bell
Now this was a serious page-turner. For the first time in a long while, I had to drag myself away from a book in order eat or sleep. The author's experiences are written directly from the heart. While I was fascinated by the entire story I, especially, loved the simple, straightforward expressions from childhood.

Perhaps the reason I loved it so much was that the author has brought this stuff out into the open. I appreciate this intensely and think it's extremely valuable that gifted people, like Melody Reid, share their stories. In removing the taboo, others realize the idea of receiving a "Lesson from the Light" can, and does, happen more frequently than people realize. They have to tune in and learn to be more sensitive to their environment and Melody Reid helps show the way.

Not only was this book generally entertaining cover to cover, but it deeply touched me. The myriad of gifts she was forced to dismiss as a child and, again later, as an adult engineer, must have been painful. But the author has opened the box and allowed her Truth to be seen and, as such, it speaks for itself. There is so much value in opening up and spreading the word so that other people with similar gifts can know they are not alone and can be encouraged to reveal their stories.

I thought the writing flowed easily. It was a good read.
