From one who was there.... Jun 19, 2006
By Bruce Vaughan I was a member of Crew Chief Bullard's 98th Squadron, 440th Troop Carrier Group. Perhaps this contributed a little to my enjoyment of 'Little One's'well written account of the War. I found the book to be highly interesting, and very accurate. Anyone with an interest in World War II, especially from the viewpoint of those involved with air borne, glider, air evac, and supply by air is sure to treasure this account. My thanks to the author for presenting such a vivid picture of those terrible, yet magnificant years.

Excellent book for all ages Nov 29, 2006
By Jerry Whiting This is a wonderfully honest firsthand account from one who was flying in those C-47's that dropped paratroopers at Normandy and glider-borne troops and supplies in other crucial battles and operations until the war ended in Europe. The author has a great story-telling style. This book is suitable for all ages. It's not only a war story, but also a love story, a family story and an important part of our American History.

A great book by a great man... Jun 21, 2006

Charles Everett Bullard writes with passion about his tour of duty flying for the 440th Troop Carrier Group during World War II. Dedicated to his son and daughter and his wife Sue, Charles writes as only a veteran can write. With detail accuracy and with honor and respect for the job he had to do and to all his brothers in arms. From 1929 onwards onto D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge, Charles has witnessed it all. If you ever read one book about WWII be sure it is this one, for it will make you stop and think about the humand side of this conflict. About the men and women who fought it and sacrificed all to ensure our freedom. Highly recomendated!!!
