Perfection! Dec 02, 2009
By Melissa L. Strawser Andy Andersen has created a masterpiece -- "Living Well: Making a Difference."
This deceptively small book gives us the sandpaper to clean up all of the rusted tools in our toolboxes. He does a wonderful job of reminding us of how life was before we allowed it to become so complicated. His gentle reminders from his life experiences and "Mayberry" are the most heartwarming and inspirational words I have read in a very long time. He reminds us of what being "neighborly" is all about. If we would slow down and look around we would realized that we need less than we think and that our fellow man needs more than we are giving.
Andy's message will be infectious if shared! This would be a GREAT holiday gift for anyone on your list.

Uplifting... just when you need it Dec 01, 2009
By Aimee Conway I read it from cover to cover in one evening. It was a wonderful "handbook" for life. I will need to re-read with highlighter and tabs. I loved it.

Living Well: Making a Difference Nov 30, 2009
By W. Kinsella The author's compassionate message is relatively simple and to the point. It's not about you; it's not about me. As individual members of society, we need to hold ourselves accountable to a higher standard of "Living Well." If each individual does their part in being attentive to the needs of others, we will improve our society collectively and return to the values that were commonplace more than 30 years ago.
As I reviewed each chapter in this paperback, I found myself shaking my head in agreement with the author. Andy Andersen really has his thumb on the pulse of the American people. His social concepts and suggestions are fundamentally sound and easy to apply.
The harsh reality is, our value system in the USA has changed drastically over the past few decades. We have become a people of wants and desires, while neglecting our faith and family. Andy Andersen implores each reader to pay attention to the people around us; and do our part in "Making a Difference."
If this country fails to return to the faith of our forefathers, I am worried that God will no longer stand in our corner. On the other hand, if we, the people return to God, I am confident He will continue to bless this great nation!

What America needs now Aug 29, 2010
By Sylvan Tudela I had the opportunity to listen to Andy Anderson at one of my command's Day of Leadership conference. Very inspirations speaker. The book was just as inspirational and reinforces all his talks. I will keep reading this book every year to give me insight to how I live my life and where I need to make changes for the better of myself, my family, my friends, my job, and my country. A great American recipe for success in life.
Make a Difference and Live Well Aug 02, 2010
By Shindig79 Peter Drucker once said, "A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go but ought to be." Andy Andersen reminds you throughout his book that investing in other people and making differences in lives other than your own is a key ingredient to living well. Andersen lays out where we need to be. His examples are simple, but profound. The lessons from his testimony about life are right on point for what is needed in our society today. We need less texting and more visiting. We need less isolation and more neighborhood get togethers. Andy's message is valuable not only for yourself and your relationships with your immediate family, but to friends, co-workers and acquaintances. His reminders that you get out of life what you put into it and being decent to people are basic fundamental values we know, but sometimes forget. Perform an act of kindness - Andersen's right. You get more out of it than the recipient. Read his book, you will find yourself nodding, laughing and thinking about making a difference. I highly reccomend it! T. A. Gloe
